Shoppers have been urged “not to eat” certain meats that should be returned to the stores.<\/p>\n

Sainsbury’s<\/h3>\n

Sainsbury’s recalled Taste the Difference Spanish Chorizo Iberico Ring as the meat product could be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.<\/p>\n

Packages affected include all those that have use-by dates up to January 16, 2024.<\/p>\n

Sainsbury’s said: “Listeria monocytogenes has been found in some of the products.<\/p>\n

“Symptoms caused by this organism can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, feeling or being sick and diarrhoea.”<\/p>\n

The supermarket noted: “In rare cases, the infection can be more severe, causing serious complications, such as meningitis. Some people are more vulnerable to listeria infections, including those over 65 years of age.”<\/p>\n
